Appleton officials will not bring back Bird electric scooters

APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) - Green Bay officials are expected to sign a contract next week to keep Bird electric scooters in the city.
It’s a different story in Appleton.
There, city officials say the scooters will not be brought back.
The decision was made during an Appleton Municipal Services meeting earlier this month. Public works officials say the scooters create safety, aesthetics, and nuisance issues.
