8 blockchain deals, releases to know

Here’s a roundup of blockchain deals and launches in the past four weeks. 

1. Amazon and other major blockchain developers have teamed up to build on an existing distributed web incubator that will allow blockchain entrepreneurs more tools to adopt the technology. 

2. Global banking company HSBC tested its blockchain platform Voltron and found that it can reduce transaction time by 40 percent. 

3. Uber's healthcare subsidiary announced July 9 that the company has partnered with blockchain startup Solve.Care. 

4. BM has partnered with three Australian financial services companies on a private blockchain release, Lygon. 

5. San Jose, Calif.-based Hewlett Packard Enterprise is developing new methods of processing data using artificial intelligence and blockchain without having to share the data to a widely accessible cloud or across borders. 

6. A new blockchain platform is being designed to help improve the reimbursement processing, linking payments to patient outcomes.

7. The National Cancer Institute approved a program June 21 to create a blockchain-based system that allows users to share clinical data. 

8. IBM launched an upgraded version of its enterprise blockchain platform.
