Spitfire Audio have announced the availability of a limited-time bundle that brings together a trio of their popular Albion-series sample libraries. Albion Epics combines Albion Solstice, Albion IV Uist and Albion Colossus, and offers a saving of over 65% compared to purchasing its contents separately.
What’s Included?
There are three libraries included in the new limited-time bundle, here’s what’s on offer, along with Spitfire’s descriptions:
- Albion Colossus: Action films are nothing without suspense. This feat of musical engineering offers every element needed to seamlessly transport your scores from quiet suspense and tension, through to the most dramatic and epic of soundworlds. Features two complete orchestras — chamber and symphonic — heavy chugging guitars; a diverse, hard-hitting set of percussion and drum kits; and epic, widescreen synths, all expertly crafted for ultra-modern scoring tasks.
- Albion Solstice: a celebration of un-notated traditions passed down through generations and captured through the magic of sampling, Albion Solstice explores the visionary artistry from modern, folk and heritage instruments. Passionately curated, this library transcends genre to give you everything you need to create modern cinematic scores. Featuring strings, brass and woodwind accompanied by unique instruments from nyckelharpa, Celtic fiddles and hurdy-gurdy to modern synthesizers, percussion performances and much more.
- Albion Uist: Albion IV Uist contains over 60 of the finest orchestral session musicians playing the finest, rarest instruments. Strings High, Strings Low, Winds High, Winds Low, Brass High and Brass Low sections all deliver expertly crafted progressive techniques, with everything arranged to interlock between sections. Recorded to two-inch tape via the finest vintage valve and ribbon mics (Close, Tree, Ambient and Outrigger signals are provided) in the renowned Lyndhurst Hall at AIR Studios, London.
Compatibility
Albion Solstice and Uist both run in Native Instruments’ Kontakt Player, and require version 5.6.8 or above. Albion Colossus runs in Spitfire’s own plug-in, which is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or above, and Macs running macOS 10.15 and higher. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
Pricing & Availability
Albion Epics is available now until 31 March 2025, and is priced at £399 including VAT. Those who already own any of the included libraries can log into their Spitfire Audio account and take advantage of further savings.
