SD-WAN vendor Silver Peak has commenced rolling out its updated partner program to Australia.

Silver Peak director for Australia and New Zealand Graham Schultz told CRN that the program’s updated tiers and rebate structure will help partners become more profitable, while also helping them generate opportunities and leads.

There will also be broad certification training to also help partners get up to speed on a technical level, particularly with SD-WAN.

“The growth in the SD-WAN market is huge and that correlates directly to growth and interest in the channel,” Schultz said.

“We’re investing in standardising our partner program, training and skills for engineers, and in a rebate program to make selling Silver Peak technology the most profitable choice for partners.”

Silver Peak APJ vice president of sales Dean Vaughan told CRN that the company expects to have a good year after recent endorsements from analysts.

“Silver Peak is growing tremendously as an organisation - Gartner named us a ‘leader’ in its WAN edge infrastructure magic quadrant,” Vaughan said.

“As a result of that, the growth that we’re experiencing is tremendous, and we’re formalising our partner programs so our partners can reap the benefit of that growth.”

The partner program will have “more structured and clearer” silver, gold and platinum tier structure and will be “massaged” to align with Australian conditions, according to Schultz.

Speaking to CRN USA in March this year, Silver Peak vice president of worldwide channel sales Michael O'Brien said the company was "actively looking” for additional partners through the incentives and a “differentiated” SD-WAN solution.

Silver Peak said its SD-WAN offering integrates WAN optimisation, firewall, segmentation, routing and application visibility in a unified platform.
