A naturopath entrepreneur who runs an international weight-loss business appeared to have it all - living in a $10million mansion and running a thriving company with celebrity endorsements and deals with multinational corporations.

But on Tuesday, Savannah Daisley's world came crashing down.

The 45-year-old was charged on Monday with having sex with a 14-year-old boy four times over a 24-hour period until 5pm on May 20 last year.

Daisley was denied bail in Waverley Local Court, in Sydney's eastern suburbs, on Tuesday. She strongly denies the allegations, which police allege occurred in the same exclusive suburb where she lives, and intends to plead not guilty. 

In opposing her application for bail, police told the court Daisley had spoken to the victim by phone, admitting to kissing the boy, but having little recollection of any of the alleged offending. 

Daisley, the daughter of famous horse breeder Ross Daisley, will be held on remand in Silverwater Women's Correctional Centre until her matter is mentioned in Manly Court on August 22.

Her father, who bred the renowned thoroughbred racehorse Choisir, had offered to put up $10,000 bail for his daughter, who was also willing to report to police daily. 

But in denying bail, Magistrate Jacqueline Milledge, said the act governing bail in relation to child sex offences was 'firm', and there was justification to keep Daisley in custody given the nature of the case. 

The prison cell where she will spend at least the next month before her court appearance is a far cry from the dazzling views of Sydney Harbour she's used to from her home in Longueville, on the city's exclusive lower north shore.

Daisley is a successful entrepreneur and founder of Smart Cleanse - a 14-day program comprising capsules and powers that promise to detoxify clients' bodies, eliminate stress, shed kilos, and 'reverse ageing'.

Daisley's products now sell across Australia after she secured deals with pharmacy giant Priceline in 2018, and with supplement giant Mr Vitamin in 2020. 

She launched the company in 2014 and quickly attracted a celebrity following, including Neighbors star Jodi Gordon, who featured in a video testimonial for Smart Cleanse in June 2021 - spruiking the program as her 'health and beauty secret'.

Ms Gordon, 37, said Smart Cleanse helped her kick sugar cravings and stay focused and alert at work, while still having enough energy to cook dinner for her daughter.

Among her 40,000 Instagram followers is Natalie De'Banco - the founder of luxury fashion label Bronx And Banco, and Shelley Sullivan - the CEO of beauty company, Model Co.

According to her website, clients itching to lose weight and 'detox their bodies' have to fork out $199.95 for a 14-day starter pack with two 'smart cleanse' kits.

For a 14-day starter pack with three 'smart cleanse' kits and an online food and exercise diary, clients are asked to pay $539.95 before shipping costs.  

Smart Cleanse, which operates under the organisation Nulife Cleanse Pty Ltd, went international in September 2021 when it launched in the US.

In an Instagram post last August, she said she couldn't wait to 'help Americans treat the root cause of their illness with gut-focused, practitioner-grade detoxification protocol, drastically raise their quality of life, help them achieve their target weight and transform their lives for the better'.

'Let's do this America.'

According to her website, Daisley had a childhood rich with junk food and described herself as a 'resident mojito girl' in her 20s.

After five years of non-stop headaches, according to the site's 'About' section, Daisley went to a cellular biology lecture and had a 'light-bulb moment'.

'I went to a lecture where I met with the now famous Cellular Biologist Dr Bruce Lipton of Stanford University Medical School USA, who shared his research findings that 95 per cent of disease was caused by toxins, stress and negative beliefs.'

'You know that life-changing moment when that light bulb switches on and everything goes quiet? Well that moment then was the beginning of my interest in detoxification and the inspiration behind forming Smart Cleanse.'

Daisley has also appeared in infomercials for Channel 10, and often posts about her cleanses and organic food diet on social media, along with her struggles with alcohol.

Last week she wrote an impassioned Facebook post declaring she was 223 days sober.

During her court mention on Tuesday, Magistrate Jacqueline Milledge described the allegations as 'quite disturbing', the Daily Telegraph reported.

Mr Dassel, her lawyer, argued the report against his client was made 'in spite', and it was an 'oath vs oath' case.

'There is motivation around the timing of it that really affects the credibility and strength of the case,' he told the court.

Prosecutor Daniel Richardson argued bail should be opposed.

He said an officer in charge of the case told him about a phone call between Daisley and the alleged victim.

During the conversation, Mr Richardson said Daisley admitted to at least kissing the young person but had little recollection of the alleged offending.

'His instruction to me was the phone call was quite damning to her. 

'The facts are that admissions were made that were captured on telephone intercept and it is a quite serious matter'.
