ALM/Busy Circuits have just announced the launch of a new utility module that makes it possible to integrate external audio processors into Eurorack rigs. The ALM041, or S.B.G-PRO, is capable of operating in mono or stereo, supports balanced and unbalanced equipment, and also allows for CV-based control of external devices.
The module builds on the capabilities of the original S.B.G, adding a pair of balanced stereo inputs and outputs on quarter-inch TRS sockets and offering support for a greater range of external audio equipment. While the original offered a way to integrate pedals into a modular system, the latest offering has been designed to incorporate the likes of 19-inch/500-series outboard gear as well as mixing consoles. A pair of front-panel knobs offer control over the level of the input and output signals, while a Dry/Wet Mix dial provides voltage-controlled equal-power crossfading between the processed and unprocessed signals.
The original (mono, unbalanced) module will remain available for those simply wishing to add some effects pedals to their rig.

- Clipping indication for over-amplification of external returned signal.
- Equal-power crossfade between original source and returned signals with both direct and voltage control.
- High-quality balanced converters with very low noise and bleed.
- Regulation and conditioning of CV modulation signals intended for pedal expression or external CV inputs.
- Includes ‘floating ring’ cable for safe expression input connectivity.
- Skiff-friendly.
