Actor Sara Ali Khan opened about her transition from fat to fab in her latest interview. She revealed to a magazine that she weighed 96 kg during her graduation time. Sara said that it took her determination and hardwork to change once she realised she had to lose weight and appear healthy. The Simmba actor mentioned in the interview that she had to move to salads and cardio from pizza which was an important part of the journey.

Sara was quoted by the magazine saying, “The transition from pizza to salad and from lethargy to cardio is how I kickstarted my fitness journey. I simply started eating healthy and began working out when in New York.” The actor looks perfectly in shape today and a lot of credit goes to how she designed her lifestyle with a motive in hand. Sara revealed that she first aimed to lose some weight before getting on to include regular forms of exercise in the schedule. Sara said she began with ‘walking, cycling and hitting treadmill’ before the functional training.

Explaining her weekly workout regime, Sara revealed she doesn’t miss her exercises any day but keeps her Sunday free because that’s her ‘day to chill’. The actor, who will be seen alongside Kartik Aaryan in a film soon, also said that she doesn’t go for the same exercise daily but keeps on changing the forms. Sara was quoted saying, “A combination of functional training, Pilates, boxing and cardio – I like to change things up, but ensure that I work out for an hour and a half every single day—except on Sunday because that’s my day to chill.”

On the work front, Sara is gearing up for a yet-to-be-titled romantic drama which is being directed by Imtiaz Ali. Various rumours suggest that it’s a sequel to Love Aaj Kal but there has not been any official confirmation on the same from the makers. The film is slated to hit the screens on Valentine’s Day next year.
