After seeing her dad's three stone weight loss, Amy decided to follow the same Do The Unthinkable diet and fitness programme- and with great results.

Sharing a before and after photo on Instagram, Amy wrote: '3 stone lighter, 3 dress sizes down and feelin’ hellla good! This is what I achieved in 12 weeks with the help of @dotheunthinkableuk

'I genuinely can’t believe I did this while still eating foods I still love.'

To achieve her weight loss, Amy ate six times a day and went to the gym four times a week.

She swapped scrambled eggs and homemade dinners, for smaller, more frequent low-calorie meals and snacks.

The star added her weight crept up during her gap year in Israel but has found a new love for healthy food and fitness.

Amy's dad Jonathan dropped three stone back in March from 21st 3lbs to a much trimmer 18st 8lbs earlier this year.

He changed his calorie count from more than 30,000 to just 1,800, swapping crisps and full English breakfasts with protein rich chicken lunches.

Previously speaking of his weight loss, he said: 'Filming for Gogglebox could take up to 12 hours a week and that was 12 hours that I was paid to sit around without moving.'

Amy first joined Gogglebox for its first series alongside mum Nikki, dad Jonathan and her brother Josh in 2013.

She remained a regular fixture and was cruelly taunted over her weight.

The television personality quit the show in October of last year to star in Celebs Go Dating, admitting she had never been on a date before.

The experience was a positive one and Amy previously told Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield on This Morning: 'When I started Gogglebox I was 13 so I've grown up on the show, so I thought it's time to settle down and find someone.

'[I just want] someone to have fun with, I'm only young I just want fun someone to have a laugh with, go out, club.'

Amy also admitted that she had prior dating experience before signing up for the E4 show, adding she's even surprised herself on how much the show has boosted her confidence.

'I learned that I'm actually quite decent at dating, I think I've done alright, obviously previous to think I'd never been on a date before,' she said.

'I was really nervous but I had people around me and I knew wasn't going on a date with some random person, I knew that I was in safe hands.

'I figured out that I'm better at it then I thought I learned things about yourself, you're actually doing something right and they can actually accept you.'
